Philanthropic Leaders Series

Welcome to the Philanthropy Leaders Series!

MariBen Ramsey is a mentor and encourager to Austin nonprofits.
With over 20 years in the philanthropic community, MariBen is leading the charge for an important shift in Austin and counsels numerous organizations, businesses and individuals in their own giving. We sat down with her to hear more about her research on the transfer of wealth in Austin and how organizations can leverage planned giving programs to meet this enormous opportunity.

Learn how collaboration and relationships have shaped his career. 
Best known from his former roles as the Executive Director of the Care Communities, the Hill Country Ride for AIDS and Texas Mama Jamma Ride, he was able to successfully pull like-minded organizations together to build a dynamic and awe-inspiring fundraiser. Today we find him at the Thinkery, Austin’s new home for the Austin Children’s Museum, where he’s currently serving as the Interim Executive Director.
