Rachel Elder is an associate consultant at Beacon Nonprofit Consulting.  She began her development career 18 years ago and shares her experiences in grant writing, foundation and corporate relations, capital campaigns and major gifts with clients across Central Texas.  Additionally, her skillset includes volunteer management and grassroots fundraising on a local and national level.   She earned a BA from Texas Lutheran University and a Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from Indiana University.

Rachel serves as a community leader for a variety of organizations. Her commitment to volunteerism and resource development enhance her dedication to the Austin community. She  is an active volunteer with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Austin Chapter, Generation SERVE, O. Henry Middle School and Girls Scouts of America. 

In many ways, Rachel hopes to be a champion for those with Prader-Willi syndrome and to bring awareness to this rare condition. She is a committed volunteer and local resource. Rachel balances her love for fundraising with keeping up with her three children and husband.
