Monday Motivation Starts with a Mentor 

Kick off your week with fresh ideas, expert advice, and meaningful conversation. Member Monday Mentors, generously sponsored by Beacon Nonprofit Consulting, is a new AFP Greater Austin member benefit that pairs members with experienced fundraising consultants for complimentary one-hour mentoring sessions. AFP is deeply grateful to Beacon Consulting for offering their team’s mentorship services to these three Member Monday Mentor sessions. 

Join us this fall on Monday, September 28; Monday, October 19; and Monday, November 9 from 1-3pm, when three seasoned fundraising consultants will share their expertise through personalized, one-on-one mentorship. Whether you're just beginning your fundraising journey, growing into leadership, or looking for an experienced sounding board to help navigate complex challenges, you'll gain practical insights from professionals who have built successful careers across every corner of the nonprofit sector. 

Complimentary one-hour sessions are available by appointment to AFP Greater Austin members on a first-come, first-served basis. With only nine appointments available per session, reserve early to take advantage of this valuable member benefit. All sessions will take place at the AGE Central Texas south campus (9400 Alice Mae Ln, Austin, TX 78748).

About Beacon Nonprofit Consulting 

Mollie O’Hara Leach offers over 25 years of hands-on experience in successful development programs, both as a consultant and professional fundraiser. She has worked with organizations of all kinds, from small, social service groups to major universities. With a desire to provide high-quality capital campaign consulting to the Austin nonprofit community, Mollie founded the company in December 2010 and continues to be recognized by her peers as an expert in fundraising. A member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals since 1996, Mollie was named Outstanding Fundraising Professional in 2004 and served as president of the Greater Austin Chapter in 2012. Additionally, Mollie earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) distinction in 2001 and a Certificate in Fund Raising Management and Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from Indiana University.  

 

Lisa Lee brings more than 20 years of development experience in Austin’s nonprofit sector to Beacon, including deep knowledge and skill in the areas of capital campaign management, major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, event fundraising, annual giving, membership and more. Prior to joining Beacon in 2014, Lisa worked in development officer roles with large and mid-sized nonprofits, most recently completing a $17 million campaign to build the new Austin Children’s Museum, the Thinkery. Lisa earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in 2004, and was named Outstanding Fundraising Professional by AFP in 2012. She served as president of the AFP Greater Austin Chapter in 2007.  

Dori Flores draws on nearly 30 years of fundraising experience, including 20 years in frontline roles and nine years as a consultant. Her expertise includes fundraising and operations strategy from event fundraising to estate planning, as well as campaign readiness and management, donor engagement, and board development. 

Rooted in Disney’s approach to quality service, Dori’s donor-centered philosophy began in 1996 with the Walt Disney World College Program, where she earned a Mouseters Degree and hands-on guest service training, and was strengthened in 2025 when she completed Disney Institute’s Disney’s Approach to Quality Service course. 

She has held leadership roles with The Junior League of Austin, AFP Austin, and Mission Capital, and currently volunteers at Meridian World School. 

Dori earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in 2009 and the Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from Indiana University.
