More than 75% (in many sectors) of the US non-profit workforce is female (source). Yet, when it comes to leadership at the top of the organization, women leaders are scarce. Nonprofit data warehouse GuideStar reports that at non-profits with annual budgets of more than $50 million, just 18% had a female CEO. In a time where women have broken so many barriers, why are so many kept out of the c-suite and boardroom? 

Join us for an interactive conversation on Gender in the Nonprofit Sector. After a brief welcome and introduction, participants will be placed into breakout rooms with a room host and a leader from Austin’s nonprofit sector who understands gender and leadership. This will be an informal discussion, but for those who would like a little preparation beforehand, check out this article (requires a subscription), this article and this book.
