Session D escription
Fundraisers spend a lot of time trying to find wa ys to do more with less, even as we encourage our donors and supporters to embrace abundance. As leaders, how can we keep from falling into a scarcity mindset, allowing us to bring more resources and reclaim our connection to joy in our organizations’ mission? In this session, two seasoned non-profi t professionals explore practical ways to move our mindset in ways that ben efit both our professional and our personal life.
Speakers: strong> Sally Blue and Christine Kutnick
Speaker Bios:
Sally Blue is all about the creativity that comes with change. She's a past president of the Greater Austin AFP chapter and has served the nonprofit sector for over 25 years, work that has taken her from Girl Scout campfires to executive board rooms, university classrooms t o unpaved paths in Guatemala. Her coaching clients range from tech executiv es to social do-gooders and actual rocket scientists. She employs a holisti c approach to organizational and leadership transitions, philanthropy, busi ness development, workshops/retreats, strategic planning and visioning. Sal ly knows change is hard and it's also when we get to be our most creative s elves. She’s a mama, a poetry enthusiast, and a South Texas girl at heart.< /p>
Christine Kutnick has spent over 20 years on the non -profit hamster wheel. As a senior-level leader for many organizations, in cluding Con Mi MADRE and, most recently, the Blue Cross & Blue Shield o f Texas’ Caring Foundation of Texas, she was consistently looking for new p artners, funders and program ideas. She got frustrated because every Janua ry 1 (or July 1), she found herself at a zero revenue again. She was burned out and needed a new way to shine her light. Today, Christine is the found er of Mudita Coaching, helping people find joy in their busy lives. She wo rks with her coaches on situations blocking them from reaching the desired life.
