Join AFP on Thursday, August 13 at noon for a roundtable discussion about Edgar Villanueva’s ground breaking book, Decolonizing Wealth, that offers “a provocative analysis of the oppressive dynamics at play in philanthropy and finance.”< /p>
The roundtable discussion will be led by Madge Vasquez, CEO of Missio n Capital, and Kristin Campbell, AFP President Elect.

Since 2018, Madge Vás quez has served as the CEO for Mission Capital, a non-profit focused on bol stering the non-profit ecosystem in Central Texas through capacity building , consulting, aligned impact, and as an affiliate of the Social Venture Par tner (SVP) global network.
Mad ge has over 20 years of experience in community development, consulting, ba nking, philanthropy and healthcare. Previous employers include the Nationa l Center for Farmworker Health, Accenture, and PeopleFund in Austin.
Madge received a BA in International Relations from Southwestern University, and a MPAff from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin. She was a Fulbright Fellow in El Salva dor in 1995, where she worked with women’s organizations and micro-enterpri ses advancing civil democracy and economic development. Madge is a member of FuturoFund, a Latino giving circle, and currently serves on the boards o f KLRU-Austin and Jolt Texas. She is a 2009 Leadership Austin graduate and a current member of the Austin Area Research Organization (AARO). p>
