Interview with Philanthropists - Laura & Kyndel Bennett and Lynn Meredith

Join us at our July 11 luncheon -- Interview with a Philanthropist with Laura & Kyndel Bennett and Lynn Meredith. Here’s your chance to hear straight from donors on their experiences with nonprofits and fundraisers. Everything you want to know from the most effective way they have been thanked to how they decide to support an organization. Bring your questions because you’ll have an opportunity to ask.

Moderator:
Lauren Portley, Vice President of Development, Big Brothers Big Sisters

Speakers:

Laura and Kyndel Bennett, Philanthropists

What Kyndel and Laura Bennett value most in their lives are the relationships they have - with family, friends and the community around them. It should come as no surprise, then, that they’ve become some of the most passionate and influential supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Texas. It was because of their incredible work with BBBS that AFP was honored to award them the 2019 Outstanding Philanthropists of the Year at Philanthropy Day.

Lynn Meredith, Philanthropist

For over twenty-seven years Lynn’s involvement and influence in the Austin community has been wide and far-reaching, focusing her board service on building a strategic vision and leadership within each organization. She has served on the boards of Austin Children’s Museum/The Thinkery; Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center; Blanton Museum of Art; KUT Public Radio; St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and co-founded the first Austin chapter of National Charity League, a mother-daughter philanthropic organization. She currently serves on her HOA board and the Board of ECHO, which is determined to end homelessness in Austin. As President of her family-run Foundation, Lynn invests in organizations that will change lives and meet the critical needs of the community. Her professional career includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in education, eight years of classroom experience and a decade long commitment to the Association of Junior Leagues as a strategic community service provider.
